Mentoring Philosophy: My mentoring philosophy is one that will empower mentees to discover their own strength, push themselves to become all they can be through developing critical thinking to become self-reliant while benefiting from the guidance and experience shared during mentoring sessions. I expect mentees to take an active role in their development by asking as many questions as possible to foster self-independence, confidence, and resilience that would lead to earning value for their time. Expectation from mentees include:

Availability: I am available and open to a one hour mentoring session biweekly and will be flexible to work with each mentee schedule and mentoring schedule would be set and agreed on at the end of a mentoring session. I expect to be notified not later than 24 hours if the meeting schedule would be changed or adjusted and I will do the same as well when necessary.

Communication Style: My preferred communication style is a collaborative and open dialogue that encourages a two-way communication style where all parties can freely express themselves and communicate effectively without any fear of being judge. However, I can easily adjust my communication style to fit the mentee’s learning preferences whether they prefer direct advice, collaborative brainstorming, or reflective questioning. 

Expectations: I look forward to collaborative and engaging mentoring sessions where mentees are to gain value for their time, and I expect mentees to ask me lots of questions to gain clarity on topics of discussion that align with the context of mentorship.
